About Program

Teaching English in Nepal is so much fun and rewarding way to make a real contribution to some of the local school students and people. It can be challenging at the beginning but seeing their progression and enthusiasm make the overall experience extremely satisfying.

In each classes there are 20 to 35 students age ranged from 5 to 16 years old. You will be following the school’s standard curriculum. However, volunteers are also encouraged to create their own lesson plans as well. Each institution has its own permanent staff member who would be assisting you with teaching techniques and helps you make effective communication with the children.

Besides some school festival and exam preparation break teaching teaching program runs all year round. The duration of the program would be 1 to 20 weeks.

Consider your impact: Volunteering abroad can be a rewarding experience for both volunteers and local communities, and at Go Overseas, we believe all volunteers should have the resources to make informed decisions about the type of volunteer project they want to partake in. However, despite best intentions, some organizations offering placements in orphanages may unknowingly place children in danger. You can read about the potential dangers of orphanage volunteering here.
