About Program

Nepal Reliance Organization (NRO) is a not for profit non-governmental organization managed by women established in 2002. It has received a legal registration with the Social Welfare Council. Our goal is to contribute to the long term sustainable development in our country, Thus we stimulate Nepalese active pro bono participation and we call for the solidarity of overseas volunteers.

NRO welcomes international volunteers to the great valleys of the Himalayas in Nepal and their positive contributions in a developing country with a robust and rich culture. It has been designed to attract volunteers from all over the world. NRO gives them the opportunity to make a difference in our villages and urban areas.

NRO has flexible categories of programs that run throughout the year that include the following: English and Literacy, Orphanages, Environmental, Health and Medical, Cultural Immersion and Monastery.

Consider your impact: Volunteering abroad can be a rewarding experience for both volunteers and local communities, and at Go Overseas, we believe all volunteers should have the resources to make informed decisions about the type of volunteer project they want to partake in. However, despite best intentions, some organizations offering placements in orphanages may unknowingly place children in danger. You can read about the potential dangers of orphanage volunteering here.
