About Program
Join People & Places as a volunteer in Peru! Volunteers will assist in well-established research projects monitoring life in the Amazonian rain-forest, based in Manu National Park.
Participants will also help in community development projects, working to implement the GROW initiative, an effort to boost local health and boost local incomes through agriculture. Volunteers will help families to set up personal gardens and will assist villages to develop communal plots to grow fruit and vegetables for child and adult nutrition and to sell surplus produce to generate income for families living in poverty in the community.
