This experience change my life!

My experience in EnriquezArte was everything that I could have asked for in terms of community. I lived within a close knit group who worked and experienced everything together. From helping the local community by providing a weekly food bank to exploring the amazing city of Barcelona in my spare time. I learned many new things about living alongside other people and also about myself. The list of activities to do within EnriquezArte is long and diverse, I discovered a new hobby of rock climbing during my time there which I will always be thankful of. If you are serious about living alongside people who are motivated to help the local community with numerous projects and provide a service to those who need it most then this is the place for you.

Pros
  • Barcelona
  • A lot of workshops
  • Comunnity life

Great experience - Highly recommend !

Being part of the EnriquezArte community has been a very interesting and rewarding experience. It has allowed me to develop certain skills (teaching, cooking), as well as discover new ones (gardening, climbing). It has also been an efficient way to improve my spanish. Daily life is full of new experiences, feel-good activities (sport, yoga, meditation) and great food!
I highly recommend coming to EnriquezArte to anyone who wants to break their routine, help others, make new friends and discover Barcelona.

Pros
  • Discover the community life
  • Centered on physical and mental well being
  • Meeting amazing and lovely people from all around the world
Cons
  • Give up some of your comfort

Amazing community life

Working in enriquezarte is very rewarding. It had a very positive impact on my personal development. The volunteers are very nice and caring, Living in a community helps you to accommodate yourself to the community advantage, it promotes empathy and understanding cultural differences.
As for the skills or knowledge I gained from participating in such a program, it can vary depending on the specific tasks and responsibilities, but generally, it provides valuable experience in areas such as: interpersonal skills, empathy and emotional intelligence, teamwork and collaboration and adaptability.

Pros
  • Life community
  • Planning and organization
  • Barcelona

Learn and participate

It is such a life experience. I have learnt of each person I met in Enriquezarte. In all the activities and events you have the chance to challenge yourself sometimes by doing something you have never done before, afterwards you realise you did it and very good!
You can actually practice the collaboration and the team work. You are more aware of the others and how import is to be aware of our social skills.
I’m grateful to have the chance to be part Enriquezarte history and for let me participate in their program.

Pros
  • Positive environment
  • Good location
  • Activities
Cons
  • Get ready to get out of your confort zone

Great experience!

I had a memorable experience, I really enjoyed meeting volunteers from another countrys and share knowledge of life in general. The life in community has a few obstacles to overcome but none is impossible.
The environment is quite nice and I had the space to express myself and to be able to propose different types of ideas and projects.
I really enjoyed when we shared lunches, meanwhile talking and getting to know other people even more.
In general, it was a great learning experience, not only about community life and teamwork, but I was also able to get to know myself even better.

Pros
  • Good nutrition
  • Amazing workshops
  • Great adventures
Cons
  • No alcohol
  • distance from the center

Growing experience

My experience in the NGO enriquezArte looked like a shortcut in my personal and professional development. At a moment of my life full of questions about what was MY path (and not the one of someone else.) it definitely enlightened what is mine and how to reach it!
Many thanks to all the team and to Jean to build such a safe place where to work at the same time on myself and the others!
I've volunteered a lot in my life but this one definitely "go overseas" of all my expectations!
Lucky you if you can live it!

Pros
  • You are smarter after than before
  • It makes more efficient and achieve concrete goals
  • I immediately felt safe and appreciated for my singularity
Cons
  • Be ready to step back with princess comfort
  • Be ready for emotional up and down
  • Be ready to work on your positivity

Culture, diversity and learning

EnriquezArte is a very diverse space where you share your knowledge, your culture, your projects, your gastronomy, and much more, and therefore you also receive and learn everything that derives from the above. For me it has been like my traveling home, where I live with people from all over the world, and therefore I am enriched every day to share lunch, to develop a project, to go for a walk, to attend a workshop and many more moments.
I love it because you also learn to "relearn", to overcome your fears, to take risks, to accept your mistake or error, and therefore not to judge or feel judged, such as climbing classes, community building activities, English classes, yoga and much more.
As a native Spanish speaker, I shared my knowledge by teaching Spanish classes, so I also strengthened my English and learned other languages.
In addition, as a teacher, I had the opportunity to share with children in the summer and winter camp, with a variety of activities both in the association and outside, the beach, parks, museums, community gardens and others.
The workshops that are offered cover wellness, sports, creativity, dance, music and community, many activities to take advantage of.
Many thanks to all of you who made this a great experience.

Pros
  • Learning in different areas
  • cultural diversity
  • commitment and dedication
