About Program
The Wildlife Forensic Academy (WFA) offers 3- to 6-month internships to international students seeking to enhance their practical experience beyond academy coursework. Following the completion of a short course with us, students have the opportunity to pursue an internship with the WFA or our affiliated partners. The majority of placements are offered at the WFA facility in Cape Town, while certain affiliate partners are located in alternative locations within South Africa.
The diverse range of internship opportunities encompasses fields such as Forensic Science, Crime Scene Investigation, Ecology and Conservation, Veterinary Science, Animal Rehabilitation, Environmental Science, Law and Public Policy, Anti-Poaching, and Marketing and Data Recording. Based on your application, the WFA offers you opportunities at organizations that best suit your interests.
