The program will provide students with valuable insight into sustainable and environmental trends in China and will highlight current opportunities within the country. Shanghai Study Abroad Program

I thoroughly enjoyed working with the people from the Center for Sustainability, they are excellent! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The topics were interesting and the guest speakers were very knowledgeable. Overall, a great program with great people. I highly recommend it!

What would you improve about this program?
I wished they would have devoted more time to talk about the business side of China (in addition to the sustainability issues). The majority of the food and accommodations were good, some choices were just satisfactory in my opinion.

Great insight to sustainability in China

I attended the "Shanghai Centre for Sustainability" (SCfS) summer school program in August 2013. I went as a practicing professional and was joined by other professionals and overseas university students. The course program itself was quite busy, and covered a very broad range of environmental and sustainability topics confronting contemporary China. There were also several elementary mandarin language classes, group workshop exercises, and interesting visits to businesses and NGOs around Shanghai. I enjoyed the opportunity to meet professionals, academics, official, entrepreneurs, volunteers and students all actively involved in solving China's pressing environmental problems. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and was able to continue for 4 months on an workplace internship also arranged by SCfS. Thank you, Robert Worrall, Brisbane Queensland Australia.

What would you improve about this program?
Perhaps stay focussed on the topics most related to sustainability and environmental management.

Working in global city with asian spirit

First of all, I learnt a lot of things about China and especially about Shanghai - what is life like in that city, what are the facilities for business and what are the prospects for the future development. I knew a lot fbout chineese people, about their mentality and their way of behaviour. I also had an experience of living abroad. Working in a company, I learnt many things about "green economy", including "smart stuffing" and "resourced based economy".

What would you improve about this program?
I thing it is better to have individual approach to each intern and to make more specialised programm for his internship period.
