TEFL Certification with Job Placement Guarantee

I did the TEFL Certification course in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica with Maximo Nivel in March and April 2016.
We were a really nice group that went along perfectly. Our teacher Audra was passionate and always gave more than 100%.
Whenever I had a question, Audra and the other staff of Maximo were there and happy to help.
At times the course was quite intense, but in the end I was proud of myself for having achieved so much.
Practical Teaching week was great, too. It was a lot to prepare but in the end totally worth it, because the students were so nice and grateful to learn English.
I cannot name one negative thing about Maximo Nivel, everything was perfectly organized. It was also very nice of them to host a little party for us at the end of the course.
Manuel Antonio is a great place! Really hot, but you can enjoy the beaches and nice restaurants with pools on the weekends.
All in all I can really recommend taking the TEFL course with Maximo Nivel.
I would definitely go back to Manuel Antonio and do it again!!

It is hard to put into words how fantastic my TEFL experience was! There were a total of seven of us in the class, and while we all came from different backgrounds, we formed a bond over the course of the month that I hope will last a very long time. It was a wonderful group of people from top to bottom. The course was well-structured and comprehensive (I never realized just how much goes into teaching a foreign language)! It was definitely challenging at times, but our instructor Karen was incredibly helpful and supportive throughout the entire process. You can tell that Karen loves her job, she's bubbly and energetic and wonderful! I'm happy that I decided to take the course on site in Guatemala, as I had the chance to get a whole week's worth of practical experience teaching in the classroom. Maximo helped me update my resume and look for teaching positions in the area, and I was offered a job the day after my course ended!

The material is first rate. Audra Wooldridge is a dynamic and knowledgable instructor. While requiring strict adherence to the course goals and requirements, she is lots of fun and readily available to help. From Day 1 were immersed into the theory and practice of TEFL. However, there were plenty of opportunities to enjoy all that Manuel Antonio has to offer. Classmates gathered together at different times to swim at the beach, hike to a waterfall, taste the beverages at happy hour, or go ziplining. By the end of the 4 weeks we knew more about each other than our own families know about us. Audra has a way of bringing strangers from all over the world together and uniting them into a group of well trained individuals. If someone does not learn from this course, it is only because that person isn't willing to put in the effort.

If you are looking for an awesome learning experience, a way to travel while making money and teaching others, and a structured/educational vacation then the TEFL/TESOL course through Máximo Nivel is the answer! The course was very informative, fun, challenging, and will prepare you to become an ESL teacher anywhere in the world. Audra, our teacher, was phenomenal and definitely knows her stuff when it comes to TEFL! She is very energetic and makes sure the class is interactive, so you will learn the materials and be prepared when you complete the class. I highly recommend Máximo Nivel for the TEFL/TESOL certification.

The TEFL course at Maximo was one the best experiences of my life and I still use the lessons I learned there in my everyday activities. The course was intense but it truly prepared me to become an ESL teacher and I graduated the class feeling confident and ready. I even got a job with Maximo right after I completed my TEFL course and I loved every second of it. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!

In the TESOL/ TEFL course of Máximo Nivel you are both the guinea pigs of the TEFL techniques and teachers that are finding their own wings. The staff create an incredibly supportive system to help you develop your own creative teaching style. You are provided a base, but are also encouraged to pursue new and innovative ideas to make teaching English as engaging, dynamic, and interactive as possible. I wholeheartedly, say give it a go! :-)

I first signed up for the course thinking it was just a means to help me continue to travel and get paid while doing it. By the end of the first week though, I realized how much I truly enjoyed it. Everything you learn is relevant to what you will actually need to know once you start working. Along the way you have mini lessons, which are 20 minutes long, with real students so you can work on the techniques you are learning. For your last week you take over an existing class and teach for the full hour every day. It was great experience because your trainer is observing the class so you know exactly which areas you need to work on.

Be prepared, it is a lot of work but Maximo Nivel has a great support system and trainers who go out of their way to make sure you get as much out of the course as possible. They even help with your job search process which is super useful since applying internationally is a whole new ball game. I would highly recommend this program to anyone who is looking to get the TEFL certification!

For me Antigua was the perfect backdrop for this course. Climb a volcano over the weekend and make up a lesson plan about it for practical teaching week! Why not?

The material is intense, but I had an excellent teacher that made learning more fun than I have ever had in classroom.
