About Program
If you love wildlife and want to play your part in helping conserve the animals and environment of Zimbabwe, this is the programme for you.
Volunteers on this programme will combine their work, generally spending 3 days on conservation matters and 2 days on community outreach. You will assist with conservation management, anti-poaching, the removal of alien vegetation and replanting of trees, and monitoring animal behaviour and helping vets treat injuries where required. You will teach communities about avoiding animal/human conflict and best conservation practice, as well as helping them with organic vegetable and herb growing. Volunteers may also take part in construction/renovation of vital habitats and waterholes.
Volunteers live in the middle of the game corridor, and it is likely you will see wildlife up close and on your doorstep!
Overall this experience is perfect for nature-lovers who want to give back while having the adventure of a lifetime in beautiful Zimbabwe!
