About Program
Globe Aware volunteers will work on various projects in the Cuzco region of Peru. Projects include teaching children English, providing education, completing maintenance projects, painting classrooms, constructing beds and desks, and working on gardens. The children of Cuzco attend school during the day but volunteers will have more than enough time to work closely with them after classes. Another volunteer project is to build a Lorena stove for a family in the community.
Volunteers can also make a scheduled trip to Machu Picchu (at your cost since your program fee cannot be used for this due to tax regulations). Volunteers will also have enough free time to visit other nearby ancient sites.
Consider your impact: Volunteering abroad can be a rewarding experience for both volunteers and local communities, and at Go Overseas, we believe all volunteers should have the resources to make informed decisions about the type of volunteer project they want to partake in.
