Shop street is amazing, particularly in the summer. They normally have buskers on the street and a farmer's market going every Saturday. I also like to go to the beach at Salthill!
The beach at Salthill is beautiful! I went in the winter and loved it, so I can only imagine how beautiful it is in the summer. I also did a walking tour that showed some of the historical buildings, which was really neat. Galway was my favorite city for just walking around, because you're bound to stumble on something interesting.
