Put your global education first! See Rome and start college at the same time on CIEE’s First Year Abroad program. Earn college credit during a 12-week semester, taking classes from a wide range of subject areas. Immerse yourself in the local Roman culture by engaging in activities and excursions with first-year peers and other CIEE study abroad students.
Stay in Rome for the duration of your 12-week program or see more of Europe on our “Rome to Paris” two block combination. Along the way, you’ll develop skills and knowledge you simply can’t get in a U.S. classroom. - Walk the footsteps of the ancients among the impressive remains of Pompeii, a fascinating town that was destroyed and yet also preserved by the volcanic eruption of Italy’s famous Mount Vesuvius.
- Take in the breathtaking vistas of the Mediterranean along the colorful Amalfi Coast. Before hitting the sandy beaches and soaking up the sun, students will enjoy southern Italy’s warm hospitality and fine cuisine.
- Explore the hilltop town of Tivoli, which once drew ancient Roman emperors and Renaissance cardinals alike to its cool summer temperatures and relaxing pleasures of villa lifestyle.
