Oman Gap Year Scheme

The Anglo-Omani Society's Gap Year Scheme is open to British nationals, who are either school leavers or plan a gap year after graduation.

The selected particpants join The Sultan's School in Muscat, volunterring and becoming part of the school community. Each year a group of up to four students goes to the school for a period of three months (September - December, and January - April). Participants also have the opportunity to explore the country's natural beauty.

The school will provide accommodation and meals - other benefits include flight costs, shared car hire and subsidised Arabic tuition. A ‘pocket money’ allowance is intended to cover day-to-day expenses but also the cost of meals during the short periods when the school cafeteria is closed.
