About Program

This gap year immersion program invites participants to experience Sri Lanka not simply as travelers, but as explorers of ideas, cultures, and global realities. Exploring the island alongside programs that bring in policymakers, diplomats, community leaders, and experts, many internationally recognized in their fields, students gain insight into the political, cultural, and economic forces shaping life across the Global South, and their own personal purpose within this scape.

Participants will experience the best of what Asia has to offer: pristine beaches, vibrant island culture, historic cities, tea plantations, world-renowned cuisine, and that indescribable Sri Lankan hospitality that is as ancient and holy as the island itself. Participants will also be given the opportunity to volunteer with local youth, exchange perspectives with Sri Lankan students, and explore both iconic destinations and hidden corners rarely seen by visitors.
