About Program

Experience Costa Rica through the lens of community health and social change. The Global Health & Social Impact Internship invites students and emerging professionals to work directly with community leaders, the VN Center Team, and local organizations supporting migrant and refugee communities in the northern region of the country. Interns gain hands-on experience in social work, public health, and community development while learning about the social determinants of health, migration and human rights, cross-cultural collaboration, and more. This program blends meaningful service with experiential learning, helping you build professional skills, cultural awareness, and a deeper understanding of social justice and global health equity.
