$595 weekly.

Your program fee includes: accommodation, 3 meals per day, 24-hour-a-day support both on the ground and in the US (including a designated Intern Group Leader who will work specifically with STRIVE interns), your volunteer placement and support, and access to on-call US based medical staff. If you are planning on running 70+ miles per week, you should understand that you may need to supplement your three meals per day with snacks and other extras to make up for all of those calories you’re burning on a daily basis.

About Program

Travel to Kenya for this international internship program that offers an immersive experience like no other! The STRIVE College Internship Program (SCIP) involves training at high altitude alongside some of the world's greatest runners, volunteering with the local community, and discovering the wonders of the stunning Rift Valley all while being a mentor to high school student athletes.

The program provides real-life opportunities and challenges, preparing you for life after graduation. Outside of all the training runs you'll go on with your cohort you'll spend time in workshops learning about leadership, world issues, community service and then you'll get to practice those skills in the real world.

We offer the perfect combination of valuable career experience and high-altitude training. Spend six weeks of your summer learning about yourself, making new friends and getting fit for the fall season.

Program Highlights

  • Train to your full potential at high altitude, along beautiful dirt roads at over 7,800 feet (2,400 meters) in Kenya.
  • Be more than a tourist by immersing yourself in the Sacred Valley, learning about Peruvian culture, and exploring the surrounding area.
