What is your favorite travel memory?
My favorite part of the summer was when I created events for the ladies (at their request) to answer their questions about Jewish dating, marriage, and modesty. I loved that I was able to facilitate getting a lot of their questions answered and provide that safe, comfortable space for them to ask freely.
How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?
It has always been a challenge for me to believe that I am doing a good enough job. I am a perfectionist and always want things to work out perfectly/smoothly.
Working as coordinator of this program, I encountered countless bumps and "imperfections" that I had to deal with and coordinate through. It helped me to work on that muscle of "it's OK if things are not perfect; and, G-d's in control, not me."
What makes your company unique? When were you especially proud of your team?
When personal issues came up for some of the students on our program, I was very proud of the way our staff was able to help the students deal with and/or resolve their issues.
I was also very proud of the way we communicated with each other about the issues - gaining support from each other, helping where necessary or staying out of the way (but still, with positive encouragement) when someone else had a good handle on the situation.
What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?
I think that great teamwork is the biggest factor in being a successful company. When everyone works as a team to help each other "win" at their job, then we all feel supported and can be more successful in achieving our goals.
