What position do you hold at Infinity English College? What has been your career path so far?

I am the owner and executive director of Infinity College. We have two branches of the business, the English language school and the business school. Before founding Infinity College, I had a career in the financial services sector as a stockbroker, commodities broker and hedge fund sales manager. I discovered my desire for self-employment and established Infinity in 2004.

Did YOU study abroad?! If so, where and what inspired you to go?

No, however, I won a scholarship in 2001 that allowed me to travel the world and write a thesis on Risk Management in the Commodity Markets. I spent a number of months traveling in the US, Australia, South America, New Zealand and Europe, witnessing different cultures and experiences. My previous and present career also involves traveling around the world to market our educational services.

What does the future hold for Infinity English College - any exciting new programs to share?

We are developing our academic programs by linking up with Irish and UK Universities for students that wish to progress from English and Diploma programs to degrees, PHDs and master's programs. Our objective is to provide students with advice and assistance to reach their academic aspirations. We are also developing our range of online programs.

What about the future of the high school abroad industry? How do you think international education will change over the next 10 years?

I think an international experience at a young age is a requirement in today's World. The experience, gained by either studying or traveling abroad for an extended period of time, stands to an individual's alternative view on the world later in life (either in employment or in self-employment). The opportunity exists for students to travel around the world today at a low cost and this opportunity should be welcomed and grasped. Students in Dublin explore Europe through low fare airlines during academic holidays. Paris, Madrid, Berlin, Rome are within a two to three hour flight of Dublin while flights can be go for as low as 50 Euros each way - why wait!
