What is your favorite travel memory?

One of my favorite travel memories as a founder of study abroad programs in Ghana is from a trip to Cape Coast. This journey was part of a program focused on history and cultural studies, and it was an incredibly enriching experience for everyone involved.

We started our visit at the Cape Coast Castle, a poignant site with a deep and complex history. Walking through the dungeons where enslaved Africans were held before being shipped across the Atlantic was a powerful and emotional experience. The students were deeply moved, and it sparked meaningful discussions about history, human rights, and resilience.

This trip to Cape Coast not only provided a deep understanding of Ghana’s history but also fostered a sense of connection and community among the participants. It reminded me of the transformative power of travel and the importance of creating opportunities for students to engage with different cultures and histories.

How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?

Working for the study abroad program has been a transformative journey, shaping both my professional and personal life in profound ways. This experience has allowed me to grow in several key areas, each contributing to a broader and more enriched perspective on the world.

It has not only enriched my professional life but has also contributed significantly to my personal development. The lessons learned and the growth experienced through this journey have shaped me into a more well-rounded and empathetic individual. The opportunity to facilitate transformative experiences for students and to witness their growth has been a constant source of inspiration and fulfillment.

What is the best story you've heard from a return student?

One of the most memorable stories I’ve heard from a returning student involved a transformative experience in Ghana. This student, Sarah, participated in a program focused on education and community engagement.

During her time in Ghana, Sarah worked with a local school in a rural village. The program aimed to support educational development by providing additional teaching resources and engaging with the students. Sarah described how the community welcomed her with open arms, teaching her about their traditions and way of life. She was particularly moved by the dedication of the local teachers and the eagerness of the students to learn.

Upon returning home, Sarah shared how this experience profoundly impacted her. She gained a deeper appreciation for the importance of education and the power of community action. It also inspired her to pursue a career in educational development, and she remains in touch with the friends she made in Ghana.

If you could go on any program that your company offers, which one would you choose and why?

Exchange program (Spring/Fall).

The program takes pride in being unique. The academic standards are unbeatable, and our collaborations with institutions and colleges attest to the quality of the programs. Provide the opportunity to obtain a world-class international education, develop a global mentality, master new skills, and gain critical expertise to improve your employability.

What makes your company unique? When were you especially proud of your team?

What makes our company unique is our unwavering commitment to creating transformative and immersive experiences for students. We focus on fostering deep cultural understanding and personal growth through carefully curated study abroad programs.

One moment I was especially proud of our team was during a challenging trip to a remote village in Ghana. We faced unexpected logistical issues, including transportation delays and accommodation problems. Despite these challenges, our team remained calm, resourceful, and supportive of each other and the students.

They worked tirelessly to find solutions, ensuring that the students still had a valuable and enriching experience. Their dedication and teamwork were truly inspiring. By the end of the trip, not only had we overcome the obstacles, but we also received heartfelt gratitude from the students and the local community for the positive impact we made.

What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?

A successful company is often built on the foundation of a strong and clear vision. This vision serves as the guiding star, providing direction and purpose to the organization. It aligns the efforts of all team members toward common goals, ensuring that everyone is working in unison. It inspires and motivates employees, guides decision-making, attracts talent, builds trust and loyalty, and ensures adaptability and resilience. This vision is what transforms a company from good to great.
