What is your favorite travel memory?
One of my most cherished memories is traveling to Copenhagen with my mom in June 2024. As a graduation gift after studying interior design, we attended a major annual design event called 3DaysofDesign. This experience deepened my appreciation for how interior design can uniquely reflect culture, inspiring me to study abroad with The Learning Abroad Co and pursue an interior design internship in Valencia, Spain. The trip reinforced my passion for cultural expression in design and is what lead me to The Learning Abroad Co! It's safe to say it was a very memorable trip for many different reasons!
How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?
Since joining The Learning Abroad Co., I’ve realized how travel connects people from all walks of life. It’s a privilege to help students pursue their passion for exploring the world. The company’s supportive, community-driven approach makes a lasting impact, and I’m proud to be part of an organization that transforms lives!
What is the best story you've heard from a return student?
Hearing about people's experiences is always exciting, but it's especially meaningful when a lasting relationship is formed from it. When I went abroad through TLAC, there was another girl in the same program, and we became great friends. In fact, I'm so grateful for our friendship that I’ll be visiting her in Utah this summer!
If you could go on any program that your company offers, which one would you choose and why?
Although I am very thankful to say that I have done their internship abroad program in Valencia and their faculty-lead program to London and Edinburgh, I would definitely choose their internship abroad program in Ireland. As I mentioned before I am fascinated with Interior design around the world and Ireland is another place I would love to learn more about their culture and how it can be integrated in design!
What makes your company unique? When were you especially proud of your team?
The Learning Abroad Co is an incredible company, but what truly sets them apart is their personal approach. When I was in their program, I felt genuinely cared for because the team made an effort to connect with me and the other students beyond just a professional level. Now, as an employee, I see this same dedication from our staff members around the world. It makes me proud to be part of a company that is making a real difference in students' lives.
What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?
The key to a company's success is building genuine relationships and creating meaningful experiences. For any type of study abroad organization, this means providing personalized support and fostering a strong sense of community. When students feel valued and supported, their experiences are enriched, leading to positive word-of-mouth and long-term success!
