What is your favorite travel memory?

One of my favourite memories is learning how to make pizza and tiramisu in Rome, Italy. I got to meet new people, locals and tourists alike, and after cooking, we all sat down to enjoy our meal. Food and people are always the best combination, I think. And learning about the popular dishes in a country is a great way to learn about its culture.

How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?

Working at Connect-123 has helped me grow both personally and professionally. Personally, I have enjoyed seeing my city through new eyes every year. It has helped me appreciate things I take for granted, and it's so refreshing! Professionally, I'm always looking for better experiences, places, and the best way to help newcomers. I have been lucky to meet wonderful people and be a part of their professional journey.

What is the best story you've heard from a return student?

That they were offered a permanent job at the place where they've interned! Or that the internship made them realize what they want to do in the future. I had a student who wasn't sure about continuing on the path to become a lawyer, after her internship in a law firm in Buenos Aires, she said she now felt confident that was what she wanted to do for work.

If you could go on any program that your company offers, which one would you choose and why?

I love my destination, Buenos Aires. I think it has it all: a big city that offers everything you can think of, and also lots of different nature spots to visit on the weekends. People here are warm and friendly, and the food is great!

If I couldn't choose my destination, I think I would go to Cape Town. I would love to do the Child Life Program there and go on a safari!

What makes your company unique? When were you especially proud of your team?

I always say it's the team. We care, and we love what we do; we make real connections with students. I still talk with many interns who came to Buenos Aires, and I love to hear what they did next. I feel especially proud when I see how well we communicate as a team and how we help each other. I always count on them for advice (personal and professional!)

What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?

For me, the biggest factor is genuinely caring about the people you serve. Listening, giving advice as if they were your family, and having the ability to adapt when necessary are key factors. Also, communicating and working as a team is the best way to grow further and to learn more every year. I feel lucky and happy to be a part of Connect-123, and I think that shows in the way the company works.
