Staff Spotlight: Olivia Rossi

My travels in India and summertime on the Greek islands are my favorite traveling experiences. I always recommend to students -along with study abroad in Cyprus- to visit these places.

I’ve always wanted to visit India and I finally did it. I went to Rajasthan and it was amazing! I visited the the golden city Jaisalmer, went Camel riding in the desert for 3 days, and went to the famous Desert Festival.

I fell in love with Pushkar’s amazing places, colors, and beautiful people. I’ve also always wanted to visit Indonesia, Thailand, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Tibet, Barcelona, Berlin, and Italy!

I visited the USA several times but my dream is to bring my father to the Grand Canyon and would go to New York and New Orleans again too! There are many places I’d love to visit.

I’ve always wanted to learn Spanish and French, as there are a lot of places I want to visit where these languages are spoken.

I'm pretty sure the future for Global Semesters and study abroad will be brilliant! There are hundreds of opportunities to grow this program and not just here in Florence but in Rome and Venice. Students are happy and I’m sure this company will only continue to grow. There are many things that Global Semesters has already improved but it’s also constantly working towards having the best travel abroad programs in the world!

I can say I'm proud of it every day! It is in my nature to help people and to show students "my" places, my lovely city, and the way I travel around discovering fantastic places. Hearing that students are learning, traveling around, and having fun makes me feel like a better person. I love when they show me their photos and sometimes they tell me extraordinary things they do and see. I also love when they tell me they really like a certain place that I recommended them to go; they open themselves up like I am one of their best friends.

I think Global Semesters team and I have the same way of thinking and working and a shared love for traveling, people, discovering, improvement, and connecting with other people from all over the world! I'm proud to be different and better from the other study abroad programs that are here! I'm so grateful to be given the opportunity to work with what I’m passionate about.

Global Semesters offers a unique experience to students on their programs by offering a large amount of support. There are study abroad students that love being by themselves or with the friends they make while abroad. Some are very independent but they know they have support to fall back on from the local Program Coordinator. For other students who need more attention, Program Coordinators are there through meetings and providing interesting things to do such as fairs and exhibitions.

Global Semesters is always there with its heart and we want the best for our students. Maybe other people working in study abroad are working for the money or without love. Everything changes in a students experience when the program is handled with love and care. In this regard, Global Semesters is truly unique!
