Job Description

Counsellors are responsible for the daily supervision and instruction of a small group of children with a similar ski or snowboard ability. Children never ski alone and are supervised from leaving the hotel/chalet in the morning to their safe return home at the end of the day.

Depending on the ability level and requirements of the group, counsellors may be expected to manage and present a video ski clinic or prepare a video skills review for school examination boards. All counsellors promote teamwork within their group as well as an appreciation of the mountain environment and encourage every child to improve their technique and develop their skills.

In addition to the daily skiing or snowboarding instruction, counsellors are expected to participate in a full programme of evening activities and occasionally escort clients from and to airports and train stations.

Preference will be given to applicants with experience instructing both skiing and snowboarding, but a limited number of positions are available to applicants with only skiing or only snowboarding experience.
