Job Description
We partner with non-profits and government-run hospitals and clinics in Ghana. By creating sustainable education practices and lesson plans in schools and performing outreach research and health services consultations in communities, students of nursing and/or public health can bring more awareness to vital public health issues. Internships are geared towards Master of Public Health candidates required practicum objectives.
Interns may:
-Shadow doctors, nurses, pharmacists or other health professionals.
-Learn about the issues communities face which contribute to health problems (ex. malaria, tuberculosis and waterborne diseases).
-See first-hand the unique role of traditional medicinal practices in African society.
-Conduct home visits, child welfare clinics, health education and awareness with trained public health nurses and NGO practitioners.
