You will receive full board and pay (typically £180-350/week) in exchange for helping with childcare and light household duties.
At Smartaupairs UK (please note that we are a different company to Smartaupairs Australia) - we pride ourselves in getting it right for both au pairs and host families - we ensure that our families are loving, caring and welcoming towards their au pairs - and we always require references and comprehensive information from families before they are accepted to the program. We have worked with many of our families for years and years so know them well :)
Smartaupairs specialises in placements in and near London areas (and the commuter zone) though we have more recently also started offering placements in Scotland.
A Typical Au Pair Day
Most au pairs work a few hours in the morning, then have the middle of the day completely free, and then start again at around 3pm until 7pm. Au pairs also help with up to 1h of light household duties per day. You also often cook basic meals for the children.
You normally have lots of time during the day to meet friends for a coffee and visit local town/city, go to the gym, see sights or just chill! It really is up to you.
We support you during your time in the UK, we organize events, help you find friends and in effect remain at hand to assist if you have any queries along the way.
Smartaupairs does NOT charge au pairs but you will be responsible for covering your travel & visa costs.

We have 100s of 5* ratings both in Facebook & Google 🤩
Feedback from Jess:
"Smart Au Pairs was incredible all the way through my Au Pair experience. Their communication when I was initially applying and finding out more information was incredible and they got back to me so quickly. They were amazing when helping me find a host family and were so supportive throughout the entire process. Once I was placed and in the UK, they continued to check up on me and make sure that I was okay. They had networks to connect me to other Au pairs and I truly felt that I could go to them if I had any problems. I have personally recommended the agency to many people already"
Feedback from Fabienne:
"Throughout my au pair experience Smartaupairs was always there for me, whether it was for preparation, guidance/help/reassurance in the first weeks or regular checkings on my situation, well being and the offer of help. I always felt very welcomed, comfortable and safe because I knew that help, a listener or advice would be just a text message or phone call away ☺️ Some things that really helped me personally were the Whatsapp group chats with all the Au pairs in it. You can always ask questions and at the same time meet new people who you might become friends with soon! I met a bunch of awesome people who I’m still close with. Besides those chats there were even contact lists so you could search for other Au pairs in your area. If you want an agency that really cares about you as an individual and you want a wonderful and awesome au pair experience, I can recommend you Smartaupairs with all my heart!!"
