Job Description
Honduras Child Alliance seeks a 12-month Development Manager to be actively involved in social media, crowd-funding, volunteer recruiting, grant-writing, and growing funding relationships and other supports to sustain the HCA programs. In coordination with the Honduras Child Alliance directors, the in-country Development Manager is actively involved in building relationships that grow funding and other supports to sustain the HCA programs. The primary responsibility of the Development Manager is to raise money and so this role will provide hands-on experience using a CRM / database to cultivate donors, creating engaging funding appeals, compiling concise and well-researched grants, soliciting in-kind donations, along with ongoing outreach. (Start date is flexible.)
The Development Manager is an essential member of the in-country Leadership Team and coordinates the planning and implementation of short-term fundraising campaigns and crowdfunding that engages the in-country volunteers.
In addition to working in the HCA classrooms, the Development Manager has opportunities to collaborate on creating special projects based on their skills and the needs of the community. The Development Manager also helps host supplemental programming such as visiting dental teams and workgroups and supports the growth of these important relationships.
The Development Manager is an on-site resource and role model for the international volunteers who staff our programs. The Development Manager is essential to maintaining Honduras Child Alliance’s reputation and credibility within the local community.
The Development Manager receives housing and wifi, and a stipend of 750 HNL each week (about $35 USD). With a 12-month commitment, there is also assistance toward two visa runs at $200 USD each. The Development Manager also receives a fabulous letter of recommendation and our ongoing gratitude!
