About Program
Students study English language skills and academic skills, plus one subject-specific English language module that introduces them to the specific vocabulary and language that they will need to use in their chosen undergraduate program.
After successful completion of the program, students will be eligible to enroll on the International Foundation Program (IFP) at the academy. The IFP is a full-time course in business, computing or engineering, and provides guaranteed entry routes into universities in the UK, Australia, Canada and the USA.
Students study four core modules:
1. Developing English Language Skills: This module helps students to develop their general language skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing.
2. English for Academic Purposes: This module helps students to develop their academic study skills required for university.
3. Culture Studies: Students learn about life in the UK and are provided with cultural knowledge required for successful social integration at university.
4. English for Specific Purposes: Students study one subject-specific English language module from the following: Dentistry, Engineering, Law, Life Sciences, Medicine, and/or Social Sciences
