About Program
Do you want to improve your Spanish while enriching the education of Honduran students? Join our Study Buddies program to practice your Spanish while you volunteer!
Volunteers work in HCA's PEP+ educational program for children in grades 1-6. Later in the day, they can be scheduled for a 60-minute session with an HCA tutor, generally a Honduran university student. Based on the areas you specify you would like to practice, your Honduran partner will work with you on conversational Spanish. Each tutoring session costs just 100 HNL (about $4.25 USD) of which 50 HNL goes directly to your Study Buddy partner, while the other 50 HNL goes into HCA's scholarship fund!
