African Volunteer Aid is deeply committed to and passionate about lessening the impact and consequences of extreme poverty in East Africa. Our purpose and mission is to provide humanitarian aid through village based sustainable projects having a measurable positive impact in communities suffering the effects of extreme poverty. We do this by utilising the skills, knowledge and experience of international change agents/volunteers to assist in the on-going operations of creating self-sufficient communities in Uganda, East Africa.

This program was fantastic!

My first trip to Africa, and was definitely something that I will remember forever.
All the team from African Volunteer Aid were helpful during the decision to partake in this program and during the time I was in Uganda.

It was a great experience knowing that I have contributed to providing clean water to so many, something that I definitely took for granted. The program itself was hands on, so I felt like I was actually making a real difference, and other volunteers and locals were friendly and so appreciative of the work that I was doing.

Definitely looking into doing another program with AVA. I can highly recommend this non for profit and what they do. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
