Yes, I recommend this program

If you want fun and exciting experience choose this program!

Really loved this program, it taught me so much about the culture and history of the city. While providing us many fun programs, such as excursions to other cities, cooking classes, and walking tours. One of the best parts of the programs are the 3 day weekends as it gives you more flexibility for travel as I went to Portugal, London, Paris, Granada, Ireland, Greece, and Madrid. I became very close to my roommates and the bars/clubs were very fun. In terms of academic experience, professors are nice but I do wish there was more of a challenge when it came to classes. Definitely one of my favorite professors was Craig, who is a former tour guide that is passionate in his teachings and will teach you much about the city and history through is walking tours. Would highly recommend taking this program!

Pros
  • Fun programs and events (Cooking classes, Walking tours, City Excursions)
  • 3 day weekends to travel to other cities/countries
  • Very supportive with their students
Cons
  • Academic experience could be improved, wish there were more classes for business

Alba

My experience with Alba was so wonderful, from the teachers to the classes, to the weekly excursions and to my overall Barcelona experience! I would highly recommend the program for its adventurous and immersive style. There were weekly excursions to local neighborhoods and restaurants which always offered a more immersive in depth experience instead of just the tourism one. The teachers and staff were incredibly helpful with classes and any other health or safety issues that indefinitely came up.

Pros
  • Teachers/Staff
  • Location (Barcelona)
  • Opportunities
