Belize Bird Rescue

Belize Bird Rescue provides a truly unique and exciting opportunity for hands-on work with many different species of nontropical resident and migratory birds, and especially parrots. The organisation has a strong focus on rehabilitation for release of wild-caught parrots liberated from the illegal pet trade. The Centre typically houses over 200 parrots at various stages of the rehab process.
Interns will receive full training and hands-on experience in many aspects of avian rehabilitation, diet, handling, basic medical care and diet and husbandry care.
We are a very small team and only have capacity for two interns at any one time, therefore we rely heavily on our interns to become part of our team and contribute to the workload.
