Conserve Natural Forests

Why choose Conserve Natural Forests?

CNF is an internationally recognized non-governmental organization operating out of Pai, Thailand that is dedicated to reforestation, conservation of critically endangered species, and ecotourism. We envision a planet where education can generate awareness and passion for engaging in environmental conservation, so that biodiversity can be preserved.

CNF owns a beautiful 80,000 square meter river-side conservation site in Pai that currently has an organic farm and houses an Endangered Species Reproduction Center, which will assist in wildlife conservation efforts by helping to repopulate the forests, monitor keystone species, and shelter animals from abuse. The organization's reserve is already home to a variety of lizards, birds, and elephants that are cared for by staff and interns. This plot of land is open to tourists, allowing them to learn about our sustainable activities and provide an alternative and ethical opportunity for experiencing Thai wildlife.

Great Experience

I spent a relatively short time at CNF, but every minute was worth it, and I wish I could have stayed longer. The staff is so friendly and helpful with your project. You know that what ever you're working on will make a large and direct impact on the NGO. Pai is also an incredible place where you can meet incredible people and get to learn about Thai culture. It has been one of the most meaningful experiences in my life.

One of the Best Experiences of My Life

Thailand is a beautiful destination, and Pai, where this internship is located, is a fun and adventurous place. Pai is a backpackers hub, people flock from all over the world to hit this destination, not only that but it is home to this conservation project site. If you want to go somewhere to learn and experience the most sincere reforestation and elephant conservation efforts, then Conserve Natural Forests is the place. The chef (Hippo) is phenomenal, she makes the best and most delicious Thai food you will most likely ever eat. Miguel, the guy in charge, knows his stuff and is completely dedicated to elephant conservation and reforestation. I wholeheartedly recommend going or interning at Conserve Natural Forests, I had one of the best experiences of my life here, and I believe that everyone should get to have this kind of experience.

What would you improve about this program?
It's literally amazing, I can't think of a single thing for improvement, INTERN HERE!

Good internship with lots of responsibility in a beautiful area

Pai is a sweet small town with beautiful nature surrounding and lots of things to do and people to meet. The staff of CNF is really relaxed and flexible and they take good care of you. For me the internship was a really good experience and added so much to my personal and professional development. Conserve Natural Forests is a small organization so I got much more involved in the organisation than during my last internship in a big NGO. Here, you are really part of the team, getting serious tasks en responsibilities. I worked hard because it is a serious thing we were working on, but I never felt stressed. I enjoyed the area, I met great people, and I got to see a lot from the country in a way that I would never have seen it as a normal tourist.
