What was the most unfamiliar thing you ate?

I did my TEFL course in Chiang Mai. Chiang Mai has plenty of western food just like home, but as Thailand was to be my new home, I wanted to eat Thai food and Thai food is awesome. My favourites became Koaw Soi Gai, which is a spicy chicken noodle soup, and Kompow Moo, which is pork fried rice.

Coming into this with a special education and language development background, Entrust gave me the tools to take my talents international. I was not only given incredible educational experience but also the insight to bring my skills into an entirely new world and make me able to change lives. In addition, I was placed in an incredible school where I have the privilege to help shape the lives of children. I could not have asked for a better TEFL course, and just as importantly, new family thousands of miles from what I once called home.
I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to head down a life-changing path.

What was the most surprising thing you saw or did?

The most memorable and surprising aspect of the course was my teaching practice at a Thai school. The kids were really cute and professional during our full teaching days. Then on the last day at the school, we did an English camp for them. At the end of the English camp, we donated school supplies to the school. The Entrust staff told us that a portion of our enrollment fees goes to the school and the local community, which I thought was really wonderful.

The owners and creators of this TEFL program are truly one-of-a-kind. The course content they have created generates a truly innovative approach to teaching ESL, and I believe their methods will allow me to immediately be successful in the classroom. And if you go even further to get to know them better, you'll see how passionate they are about what they do.

When I learned I would train for just three weeks I was skeptical that I would feel confident moving into a teaching role. However, I have found the exact opposite to be true. There is always room for improvement (as with anything in life), but I think feeling confident venturing into the teaching world was my highest priority and Entrust was successful in providing me that. Would definitely recommend it!

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?

I was met by the Entrust TEFL staff at the airport and taken to the ECO resort to relax and meet the rest of my classmates. I arrived on the Sunday before the course, but if I had to do it over again, I would have arrived a few days prior to get used to the new climate and time zone. Early Monday morning Patrick, the program director met us at reception and walked us over to the TEFL training center. Arrive a few days earlier.

It's the best programme available I'm busy with the course at the moment and it is all amazing and the teacher trainers are amazing in every way possible they help you in many ways and they bring out the best person inside of you. It is something new than I’m used to but it builds self-confidence in many ways more than one, there are many ways in which entrust can help motivate and encourage you to the best of your ability, they help you through every step of the way and the atmosphere around everyone has an effect that makes you feel at home and welcome by everyone around you. It is definitely something to look forward to doing

What was the most surprising thing you saw or did?

During the course, I completely built my confidence up from pretty much zero. I went from being a shy person to teaching 40 to 50 students during our teaching practice at the schools. I feel that I can now speak in front of hundreds of people with no problem and full confidence.

I have no words to describe my experience, I will just stick with amazing! Entrust provided me with all the tools I need to survive in Thailand. I have only good things to say about Entrust TEFL. They helped me with a job and are presently helping me with my Visa.
