I just concluded the 120-hour online course few months back. The 120- hour online course consist of twenty units carefully chosen and organized to ensure a gradual build up of knowledge whilst not overloading students with too much information at any one time. Those units allow students to work through the course at a pace that suits their requirements. In fact , the entire program is design to be learners friendly. It is also interesting to note that the instructions given as regards the unit courses were excellent. If followed carefully, students will have little or no problem in assessing the unit courses. However, if a student encounter issues or problem in assessing any of the unit course, the IT support team responds to such and any complaints as regards the online program before the close of work in two working days. The units course test are not all that difficult to scale through, if a student study each of the unit carefully and attempt the review questions attached to each of the unit to test student understanding of the unit course. From my experience the unit course that I encountered difficulty was in the lesson plan, but after receiving feed back from the online tutor, I was able to pass unit course.The experience gotten from the 120- hour online course is awesome and worth more than the course involved in running the program . I strongly recommend this course ( TESOL/TEFL-with ITTT ) to persons and individuals that wants to improve their chances of becoming a teacher of English language as a foreign language abroad. Their course materials are of high standard and their unit courses are designed to be learners friendly. I am greatly happy to have undertaken the TEFL course through the ITTT plat form. cause, they are the best for TESOL/ TEFL courses and their job assistance to their students are extremely good. Though, I have not landed my self a job, but hopefully, I will get one soon. I am very confident. now I can walk into any class abroad and teach English as a second language professionally. All thanks to ITTT
What would you improve about this program?
From my own little experience the program is standardized already. but I will emphasize more on the area of job assistance offered to students, reasons being that 70% - 90% of students that takes up this program are in the hope of securing jobs afterwards. It is discouraging that after the program , students are not given equal opportunity in the job fair. Recruiters practices racism, some candidates being denied opportunities on the basis of color and country of origin in respective of qualifications. I think , it will be wise if the body in charge of TESOL/TEFL certificate sensitize employers and recruiters on the value attached to TESOL/TEFL certificate so as to regard any genuine holder of the certificate eligible and qualify to teach English as a foreign language abroad. With this, there will be motivation and aspiration, especially from students coming from Africa counties into taking up the program.
