Jaipur Rugs Foundation

Jaipur Rugs foundation is a Trust registered in India under Trust Registration Act 1959. Since its inception it is instrumental in empowering poor, illiterate, socially marginalized rural people specially women and providing them sustainable livelihood at their door steps. Skill training, enabling them with basic life skill education, taking care of their basic health and annexing them with various social security schemes meant for them are key priorities the foundation is presently dealing with. Around 40000 Artisans working at 10000 looms across 7 states in India and making hand knotted carpets to have strong social impacts in the lives for those families they belong to. The foundation believes in total empowerment of marginalized section of society who are oppressed, cramped with opportunities and loosing hope to keep pace with present day’s economic challenges.
