Kibbutz Lotan’s Center for Creative Ecology is situated in Israel’s southern Arava desert. Kibbutz Lotan’s Center for Creative Ecology has developed and demonstrates permaculture design techniques in extreme desert conditions, natural building methods, local organic food systems, renewable energy, sustainable waste management and alternative technologies. Our flagship programme Green Apprenticeship is a hands-on training programme with theoretical lectures and practical’s. It includes a number of topics, such as Permaculture design techniques, sustainable engineering, sustainable organic agriculture, natural and most-energy-efficient building designs and techniques.
