LEO Africa
Why choose LEO Africa?
LEO Africa is a wildlife monitoring, conservation and sustainable living volunteer program established in 2005 and based on Abelana Game Reserve, adjacent to Kruger National Park.
Come join us to live a once in a lifetime real African experience! The focus of our monitoring are lions, white rhinos, elephants, leopard, hyena, buffalos, cheetahs and endangered species. A typical day consist of 2 game drives per day to monitor key species (we stay in the field around 10 hours per day!). Our monitoring is conducted both from the vehicle and on foot; Volunteers are the protagonist of our work, helping us to track the animals, collecting and inserting data (that we use to prepare reports for the park on animal behaviour, health, spatial movements etc.), some house duties and they'll have the possibility to take part to conservation activities, animal darting and relocating (when necessary) and more! LEO is a real conservation and lifechanging program!
