Mondesa Youth Opportunities Trust is an after-school enrichment program situated in the township of Mondesa in Namibia. We provide promising learners from disadvantaged backgrounds with extra classes in Math, English, Life Skills, Computer, Reading, Sports and Music.

I am an American living in Swakopmund and I have had the opportunity to volunteer as a librarian at MYO for the past year. You will enjoy the staff and children, who are wonderful. My time here will end in February 2014, as my husband's work will be complete, but if you want to enjoy Africa, live near the sea in a quaint German inspired town, and work with children who want to learn, please consider this job. Staff will help with accommodation, etc.

What would you improve about this program?

Better communication between staff and volunteers (but I was only there 3 days a week) and missed out for that reason.
