Multiple Intelligence School

The Multiple Intelligence School is a unique primary and secondary in Suva, Fiji. We offer a curriculum, inspired by Montessori and Waldorf-Steiner philosophical foundations, to remain relevant to a student growing up in the 21st century. We have a broad basis in the New Zealand Curriculum but we have adapted it to fit the small island stats of the Oceania region. Our name belies our believe that we are all made up for multiple 'intelligences' rather than a unitary one. We use this to ask questions about why a child is succeeding (or not) at school.

We think that primary learning should be principally about learning to love learning. Secondary education should be about learning to teach one self.

Our teaching staff tend to act more like distant relatives to our pupils. We tend to stay with our classes for a number of years. We do not ask the children to do anything that we are not prepared to do ourselves.
