Ocean Ambassadors

Why choose Ocean Ambassadors?

Our direct focus is on marine debris. Arriving in Fiji we worked on solutions and locally processing waste plastics to second life products to stop it from entering our oceans.
This task keeps us busy with education programs, community outreach, beach clean-ups, data collection all while sailing around on our flagship S.V. Moana.
The research we conduct is essential in providing real-time data on quantities of waste entering our oceans and the companies who make these products. It supports global, regional and local NGO’s lobby for accountability from manufacturers and local government with statistics for better waste management.
Our community outreach is aimed at providing the tools necessary for responsible waste management and achievable daily practice in stopping plastics enter the ocean at the source.

As part of your induction you will learn the ropes aboard S.V. Moana, tacking, gybing, sourcing secure anchor spots and navigating through the south pacific island archipelago’s.
