Welcome to Øyrekka Folk high School!
Join us for a year of discovery, friendship, and adventure out in the Norwegian Sea.
Our school is located on a massive houseboat, anchored in this harbour on a little island, called Mausund, and part of the archipelago that gives our school its name: “Øyrekka”.
With us you will experience learning without the pressure of grades and live in an open community surrounded by dramatic nature.
we offer courses in everything coastal, and ocean related! freediving, sea-kayaking, event planning, art and creative use of materials, fishing and aqua culture, innovation, leadership, and sustainability.
We offer norwegian language as an elective subject for international students!
Get to know yourself and the forces of nature which have shaped this country and the people who live here, for thousands of years.
