Why choose Panthera Africa?

Panthera Africa is a non-profit company founded by Lizaene Cornwall and Cathrine S. Nyquist. We are a true sanctuary where rescued big cats will be given a permanent home after being saved from various barbaric situations involving canned hunting, tiger bone trade, cub petting etc. We are focused on both animal welfare and education. By spreading the word on the plight of these cats, we can help to create a world wide team of animal advocates!

Volunteer at a new, Ethical Big Cat Sanctuary

chose an ethical project, chose Panthera Africa!

You will not find any place like this. Panthera Africa is a true sanctuary were the animals are treated with as much respect as they possibly can by amazing staff and volunteers. The love for the animals shines through everything and the people you meet, especially the founders Lizaene and Cathrine, gives the best possible experience for people chosing to volunteer at this haven on earth. The sanctuary is set in an amazing scenery and there are many opportunities for volunteers to do other activites outside of the project. The most rewarding thing is to see how much the animals enjoy the enrichment they are given by the volunteers. This is a true sanctuary, so there is no physical interaction with the animals. The animals are very well taken care of mentally (alot of enrichment) and ofcourse physically (they all are well fed and look healthy). Chose an ethical project, chose Panthera Africa!
