The Peace Project

The Peace Project is a community organization working to expand educational opportunities, foster environmental stewardship, and facilitate community development in Laguna de Apoyo, Nicaragua. Founded in August 2011, the Peace Project grew from Proyecto Ecologico and believes in Peace Education--the interactive process of learning to love and respect oneself, those around them, and the world they live in. The Peace Project effectively combines the tenets of Peace Education alongside English language instruction directly through the local primary school and through after-school enrichment programs held at the Peace Project Hostel.
