Remote Year

Remote Year is an incredible concept and an even better experience. This trip was a life-changing experience. I got to experience 12 different countries on a deeper level and really felt like I was living like a local.

From the local team support who gave us helpful tips, incredible local and cultural insight, and curated culturally immersive experiences for us to the well-thought out logistics like our apartments, workspace, wifi, everything was perfect.

I didn't expect to meet so many new friends who have become lifelong friends since then. Remote Year does a wonderful job of facilitating social and community-building events that helped us move quickly from being strangers to family.

You will not recognize the person you become by the end of this trip. It's truly transformative.

From the start of my 4-month adventure through Latin America, I knew I was in for something extraordinary! The seamless airport pick-up and the scenic drive to my accommodation offered a delightful introduction to the vibrant energy of Mexico City.

My living space exceeded all expectations with every detail thoughtfully considered. A welcoming note on the coffee table provided essential information about the apartment, including the WiFi password and neighborhood tips, making me feel right at home in a bustling yet safe environment.

Throughout the four months, each city brought its unique charm and high-quality experiences. From the cultural richness of Medellin and the historical wonders of Lima to the breathtaking beaches of Florianopolis, Brazil, the journey was packed with unforgettable moments. The coworking spaces were conveniently located, allowing for a pleasant daily walk and a productive work environment.

The local city teams were truly exceptional, providing expert guidance and creating an atmosphere where I felt like I was reconnecting with old friends in each destination. Their support and the curated activities made every moment special.

Overall, this 4-month Latin America program was a 10/10 experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to combine work, travel, and cultural immersion in an unparalleled way.

From the moment I got off the plane and picked up my luggage the Spanish air told me I was in for an incredible month! As soon as I walked out to passenger pick up there they were, Remote Year standing there with a big "RY" sign for me to identify. This always tends to be a stressor for me, not being able to find transportation at the airport. Pick up was a breeze, we took the scenic route to my accommodations so I was able to get a bit of a driving city tour. When I arrive I was truly blown away at my accommodations. Eveery detail was considered. My favorite part was the welcome note on the coffee table explaining some of the basics about my apartment (like wifi password) and my neighborhood in general, which was so safe and vibrant.

The month was filled with high quality experiences, activities and support, like the coworking space. Minutes away from my apartment I was able to take a nice walk daily to get there. And dont get me started on the city eam, they were incredible! Truly experts in all areas. They made me feel like I had long friends in Valencia and I was in town meeting them.

Overally I would give my experience a 10/10 and highly recommend!
