Yes, I recommend this program

Need to think "outside of the box"

Volunteering for 3 months at Ripple Africa, Malawi was one of the best experiences of my life. I biked 2-3 hrs/day to villages to see clients. No equipment so only using ROM, strengthening and balance exercise but also had to think "outside the box" to get things done.

Collected stones from Lake Malawi to bring to the Singer Treadle Sewing machine guy who made 1 pound weight bags with tabs. Made parallel bars from trees and used bark as rope to hold supports in place. Funding provided for surgeries, wheelchairs and mattresses during my time there which was awesome

Malawians are the warmest and friendliest people who invited Ripple volunteers into their homes, churches and weddings. Felt part of the community.

Ripple camp is right on Lake Malawi. Miles and miles of white sand beach. Staff were incredible and I would recommend this charity for the amazing work they do in education, medical, environmental work.

They are also providing community volunteers who are fascilitating making chunga chunga mottos (cook stoves) in local villages which is helping decrease the amount of firewood consumed. A very good thing..

What would you improve about this program?
Ripple is involved in so many projects so it is hard to ask them to do more. They are passionate about what they do and the staff does an amazing job.
