Sawah Bali

Sawah Bali is an Indonesian non-profit foundation. We work to protect Bali's gorgeous agricultural landscape from overdevelopment, and to create new economic opportunities for farming families.

We are helping farmers transition from chemical monocrops back to heritage rices and organic vegetables, for which there is now a high demand in Bali. With your help, we will inspire a new generation of Balinese farmers to create a new business model, earn good profits, and be autonomous. Our success will help families hold on to their ancestral land and protect their unique cultural heritage.

Our volunteers engage deeply with Balinese community and receive a world-class education in tropical permaculture from our experts while working in the field. Join us and sink your feet into the mud!
