Spain Abroad Experience

Spain Abroad really was a huge transitional time in my life. From the Life Coaches to the weekend adventures to discovering different parts of Costa Del Sol. The adventures we went on were some of the memorable times I still think about to this day. The support was truly incredible, I was going through a very big loss in my life and the support I got from Johnny and the life coaches were truly special, all of the staff on my trip had hearts of gold. Also experiencing a different culture outsides of the USA was very eye opening to see how they do things down in España! I have a lot of love in my heart for what the program did for me and the people who run it! Amazing experience I would recommend to everyone!

What was the most unfamiliar thing you ate?
Cheese with jam! Didn’t think it would be good but it was delicious!
Pros
  • Exploring Costa Del Sol
  • Life Coaching
  • Scenery
Cons
  • Some other clients
  • Schooling was okay
  • Structure could have been a little better

Spain Abroad Estepona

I’m grateful for my experience at Spain Abroad. I learned a lot! It’s a good program. We have 1 class per day mon-fri. We also have yoga once a week, boxing once a week, usually we go on a hike once every couple weeks, and there are other activities as well as a lot of free time. We have organized cooking class 2x a week which I enjoyed a lot and learned some good skills too. We have excursions on Saturdays where we go to different cities in Spain or on hikes or other cool activities. Sunday is a free day for rest and cleaning. It’s definitely a program where the effort you put into it is what you get out of it. Johnny and Leanna want the best for everyone and are good resources. Estepona is along the ocean and I swam and got outside every day.

Pros
  • Coaching
  • Cooking class
  • Spanish classes
Cons
  • Bar scene
  • Estepona has a lot of older residents
  • Airtag

Spain Abroad

I had a wonderful time at spain abroad and would recommend it to anyone I know. The education, staff, location, activities, and culture all contributed to the overall amazing experience of being a part of the program, and i still stay in close touch with the community I built there. The food was a big part of my experience, as we had required cooking classes where we all took turns cooking the meal for everyone to eat each night, and our teacher was kind and experienced, and eating out at any of this local restaurants was also encouraged and a great experience. overall, Spain Abroad was one of my favorite experiences and I had a wonderful summer with them.

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
Just spending even more time than i already did enjoying the local community, culture, and people and go to the beach every single day.
Pros
  • great staff
  • amazing place
  • always having fun
Cons
  • very expensive
  • distance from loved ones
  • some may feel homesick
