The focus of Sparkle Malawi is to support orphaned children from the moment they come into this world to the age at which they can begin school. This is unique in comparison to the majority of charities in operation in Malawi. Sparkle Malawi is engaging in Early Childhood Development (ECD). The initial years of an infant's life are critical not only for health and physical development, but also for cognitive and social-emotional development. Events in the first few years of life are influential and play a vital role in building human capital, breaking the cycle of poverty, promoting economic productivity, and eliminating social disparities and inequities. Sparkle Malawi is focusing on the foundation of poverty reduction.
