Situated on 52 acres in an idyllic mountain location, the Tahoe Resident Leadership Program develops and guides aspiring Christian leaders for one year through experiential ministry training. The program provides participants with professional skills for planning, organizing, and developing Christian ministries. Tahoe Residential Leaders experience a unique perspective into vocational ministry through leadership training and serving alongside pastors and ministry leaders. The program will be tailored to the skill sets and interests of the selected leaders and allow each to complete an in-depth project of their choice that contributes to the Church community. Participants will live in a beautiful house on the Church property as part of the residential program, which will foster close-knit relationships. Residents will enjoy an unique, immersive experience with the natural setting of the property.

Wonderful

Overall really enjoyed this opportunity. Definitely pushed me out of my comfort zone and I got to hang with super rad people while doing it. It made me read books that I never would have picked up and I learned something different from each one. Also really enjoyed having a mentor, It was nice having someone else to talk to during this group. We talked about things I liked and what I was struggling with. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to be pushed and challenged while growing closer to God.

What was the most unfamiliar thing you ate?
Thinking about things I never would have tho about on my own.

Living it up in the mountains while serving and growing in the Lord. It honestly doesnt get much better then that. Through this program I have had plenty of opportunities to be challenged and grow from and lots of opportunities to get out and explore in creation. From speaking on Sunday mornings, leading the youth group in worship, attending staff meetings, building rock steps down to the river, silence and solitude trips, reading a number of books together, dozens of guest speakers, community service projects, Sunday morning church setup and tear down, capstone projects, and so much more.

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
Come with an open heart to receive all God has for you and be sure to spend as much time adventuring and exploring all that Tahoe has to offer and of course make sure you've got a reliable vehicle for the winter!

The Tahoe Resident Leadership Program has been a great opportunity to grow in relationship with God and others. Weekly book studies, small group meetings, and leadership discussions provided spaces in which I could expand my perspective and learn from fellow interns. Through the program we were granted access to some amazing speakers with invaluable insight on a variety of leadership and faith related topics. This program offers the opportunity to live on 52 acres of riverfront property within a town containing countless invitations for engagement with adventure itself. It’s a win, win situation!

The Tahoe Resident Leadership Program is an amazing way to spend a year growing your relationship with God while serving in all different types of way. The community here is wonderful and the location is beautiful. It is an amazing program with an amazing opportunity to do ministry. The church staff is so loving and caring and will always attend to your needs. The house and property is amazing and you truly feel like you can connect to God here. Life in the program is full of fun, love and adventure

What was your funniest moment?
I’m not sure why the funniest moment had been but me and my roommates are constantly having fun and laughing.
