My experience with completing the TEFL certificate on Teacher Record

As a student teacher, completing my TEFL Certificate was a great decision. The course was very informative and easy to follow, covering lesson planning, classroom management and how to teach reading, writing, speaking and listening to learners who are still learning English. I could use what I learned straight away, and I feel much more confident.

It also opens doors. The certificate is recognized internationally, so it gives me the option of teaching English abroad or online, and it makes my CV stronger when I start looking for a job. I'd recommend it to any student teacher who wants more skills and more opportunities. I would highly recommend to anyone pursuing or furtherinng their teaching journey.

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
If I could do it again, I would start the practical tasks earlier instead of leaving them until the end, and I would practice my lesson plans with real learners or classmates sooner to get more feedback. I’d also keep a notebook of useful activities as I went along, so I’d have a ready bank of ideas when I start teaching.
