To be a Residential Volunteer and sleep at our base you must be 18 or over. Volunteers age 16 and 17 are welcome to join as Day Volunteers, provided they are joined by a guardian at least 18 years of age who will also be joining as a Day Volunteer. As a Day Volunteer, you will be responsible for your own meals and accommodation and will meet our team in the field each day.

Volunteering with All Hands and Hearts is completely free, and we provide accommodation and meals! However, we recommend budgeting for items such as airfare, transportation from the airport to the base, meals on days off, laundry, and any other incidentals you may incur while joining us. I hope this helps, and let us know if you have any further questions!

We accept volunteers on a rolling basis, so it's whenever and for however long you're available!

Hi Lindsey! We require that our day volunteers are 16 or older, and our residential volunteers are 18 or older. Day volunteers join us in the field and then return to their own accommodation, while residential volunteers live on base with other volunteers and staff. Hope this helps!
